Distro is something we like to think of as an "open" wholesaler, a term we coined to capture our philosophy of being open to everyone, whether you run a business or are simply an enthusiast about collecting. We stock goods from all the big trading card games, from Pokémon to Magic: The Gathering, with new inventory added every quarter. Our approach is rather simple: wholesale prices with no handling charges. No complicated pricing tiers, no so-called hidden costs. Plain, fair pricing for everyone.
Who's behind Distro?
We're a small but passionate team in beautiful Cornwall, UK, working extremely hard to disrupt the wholesale trading card sector with our open ethos. The idea for Distro became real over a casual night at the local pub, following two years running our last e-commerce business. We realised we were tired of continually adjusting and fiddling with prices. Couldn't it just be easier to offer the best prices from the start? That was the lightbulb moment that created Distro, where openness and accessibility are in everything we do.
Why are some products allocated?
When the trading card market exploded and some products became ridiculously coveted (and extremely resellable), we needed a fair way to distribute the more premium items. That's where allocations come in. Instead of a paid subscription, access is tied to your Distro level: every order earns XP, and levelling up unlocks allocated products reserved for our regulars. No paywalls, no contracts. Just shop as normal and the hard-to-find stuff opens up as you level.
